Another Date...

Today, I spent more time with Skip. He has a great sense of humor, and we had some fun. First we won a "best in latex" contest, then we went swimming, afterward, we cuddled in my house. I had to rez my bed again. I'd had to take it down after the infamous "Russian whores fucking in Saiya's bed and refused to leave" incident. (It also resulted in my putting in a security system... but that's another story!)

Just cuddling, okay? Ya pervs.

A Date, Not?

Tonight, I was at my usual danceclub, and I actually saw someone who caught my fancy. That never happens, and if it does, usually the guy is partnered or can't spell for shit. Both are ugh... to me. So I spoke to him. He's pretty. I complemented him. We had a nice long talk about tea. I invited him to see my new baby Meeroo as he'd never seen them before. I had to go make dinner. When I came back an hour or so later, he was standing there, apparently AFK.

There he stood.

I waited a few hours, as I am not the type to be worn down by impatience. And as he never came back, I pushed him over by a fireplace and had a date without him.

Here I am, enjoying my beer. That's him. His name is Skip. He's really good looking.

I'm not desperate. I'm not hard to please. Just gimme a cute goth guy who is not uber large and I'm content. A little conversation would be good, but at this point, is that too much to ask?

I guess it's not perfection but who needs that? Besides, I had a hot man near me, a beer in my hand, and a lovely evening to enjoy.

Meeroos!

My friend Cinder got rid of her Wildwood cats in favor of Meeroos. At first I thought... meh. Just another fashion craze. But jeez... they are the cutest things!
Me and Cinder and a Meeroo hanging out

Cutes!

I love how they come over and request cuddles. It's just about the sweetest thing ever! <3

Damn Deformities!

One thing I hate about SL is when you're spending literally HOURS unpacking and trying on tons of clothes, and you go and put on an outfit and suddenly...

OH SHIT! What happened??!

You can see your ass.

Dammit. I didn't realize it was that big!
Gotta drop a few pixels.

I'm so glad this doesn't happen IRL. I think I would be pretty embarrassed if someone took pictures of me without my wig with my head around backwards.

Hunting Without Weapons!

Tonight began very normally, with me, Verity, and Raeny all at a lesbian club skanking.

I like how skankin makes my leg tats look posed!

Then we decided to go to on a hunt! I had never gone hunting before. Never had the patience. It's fun when you're not doing it alone out of boredom. We found a really awesome couch to pose on when we were at one of the hunt places.

Raeny, Ratchet, and Me

Ratchet rode the pickle!

And I was so tired I went to bed early, lol. But I got a ton of stuff in the hunt. It's going to take me awhile to organize my inventory again.

Question: Was I ever horse-crazy? Answer: NEIGH!

OMFG... I know this isn't SL related but I saw this ad-tab in my Facebook. Why am I being haunted by lame-ass games involving horses? I HATE HORSES!

Here's my reaction to the other ads, too:

Hypnobirthing: Fuck no. Give me the drugs, bitches.
Kathy Griffin Live: I'd rather saw my left ear off.
Grilled Cheese Chef: I burn that shit IRL on a good day.
Kohl's: Why would I go there when I could shop online for granny-style knickers instead?

I digress. Next blog will be about something SL-related. I promise.

I Haven't Found Any Wh-indmill Porn... But I'm Optimistic!

Yesterday, my friend and neighbor (and owner of the land she has so graciously allowed me to park my house upon) Cinder accidentally autoreturned half my house when juggling land after her auction was won. And of course, it was the OUTSIDE of my house. No privacy. I decided to scrap the whole project anyway, for favor of a suggestion she had for me the other day.

A WINDMILL.

Now, I haven't seen many (if any) of those inworld yet, so I figured I should just have at it.

Not even 5 hours later and the mock-up as well as most of the texturing is complete. All I need is a door and a script to make the sucker spin!

As you can see, it's NOT perfect. Like its maker. It's those little imprefections and areas that don't quite line up that prove that I did it. I made this badboy. Prim by prim, baby. No sculpt maps or cheating for me. This was toil! LOL

Yes, Miss Saiya is quite pleased by the whole thing, thus far.

Me, sitting on the beam inside the dome.
Transparent textures on the inside of walls can be quite dramatic!

And just in case you don't get the whole "windmill" joke, here's the link to the video:

Floating Land

In my year and a half living in SecondLife, I've seen a lot of dumb architecture. Nothing so dumb as the floating prim prefab neighborhood.

Look! Dee PLANE! DEE PLANE!

I was helping my friend Cinder check out some land for sale, since she lost the auction to bid on land. I came across this fine architectural specimen:

A "classy" floating nightclub cube with no stairs.

When we were looking at more land, I decided to try to take a compromising picture of us. It's so much fun to mess around with the snapshot tool.

Haha... animations that make you walk around or dance around
make this kind of picture possible. <3

And then, of course, there's also the problem with people who build with materials that are not suited for the purpose, and then make them fullbright. Like this "lovely" house:
I'm BLIIIIND!!!

And at the land we finally decided we liked, we found a really funny thing next door.

Newbs!
It aint easy bein green!

Sometimes, not all is bad in the land of SL. If one can get past all the ugly architecture, the floating prefabs, the trees...

...that open up like Mexican Wedding decor...

SecondLife really is a great place to explore!

A Growing Epidemic...

I decided, tonight, on a whim, to go check out the site of my former home. For a long time when I was still a SL newborn and newbie, my friend Cinder and I both bought land on Pruni Lake approx (180, 38, 47). It was a gorgeous piece of land, part of what used to be a river cutting through mainland. My house was a watermill. Cinder custom-built it for me. I can't post a picture because I don't have the right software to convert the TGA file to a GIF.

I don't remember when we sold the land. If I remember correctly, it was because some jackass made a bunny farm on the sim that lagged the shit out of us.

I decided to go see what's going on there. The person we had sold it to had put up stupid fake flat pieces and rental houses among the verdant prim bushes. Apparently, no one wants to rent fake flying houses amid scentless greenery. This is what I found:

Me standing by Pruni Lake

He'd sold out! Yay! So I cammed around to see what else was around. And I found a whole lotta this:

Horsebreeding Corrals!

How the hell are they going to sell all those horses? Who even wants a damn horse anyway? Not I! What for? To ride? I don't even have a car. Who needs a car inworld when you have sexy shoes make for walking, and you can fly without flapping your arms?

I saw this guy tending his flock. An unlikely-looking rancher, eh?

I suppose the saying "you can never go home again" rings true in SecondLife as well as in Meatspace.

Isn't it amazing how much like Farmville this is?
